A Mole

Intro: Oha! I was able to write one again real quick. The magic this site holds nga naman. Unbelievable!

Note: The scenarios may be similar to real life, but mostly influenced by The Chainsmokers & Lifehouse playing in my ears. Just fragments, di ko alam pano pag dugtong dugtungin yung kwento, pero maiintindihan mo din yan. Hopefully. ;)

Some people are meant to cross paths...that doesn't mean they are meant to fall in love and stay together.

He: I was enjoying my cup of Americano, at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. It was a busy Sunday afternoon, family day. I got myself coffee, while my family enjoyed a movie. Not in the mood for one. Then I saw this lady, wearing a navy blue dress, white chucks, holding the straps of her tiny backpack, walked right in front me. I was seated at the corner facing the glass wall, overseeing the pathwalk. She seems enjoying herself walking by herself, at peace. Followed her by sight, and entered Fullybooked.

She: I was browsing between the shelves of Fullybooked in UP Technohub. Running my fingers through the book spines, reading the titles, deciding which one to take home with me. Not sure if I will believe that these Collins classics are not accurate translations of the original. I already have like 10 of these.

He: You know, there are gorgeous & shallow women, but there are women you meet that you feel electric.

A covert, stealthy bar in Ortigas. I was alone, enjoying a cold bottle of beer. The girl I saw from UP was there. She saw me staring at her. She was with someone, a guy. From the looks of it, they don't know each other that much yet. Probably on their third date.

I was in my favorite library cafe one Saturday morning, working on my backlogs. The guy across my table was staring at me. His face seem familiar. I think I saw him somewhere. Probably not.

Of all the days and places, she's here again. I passed by this cafe on my way home, a library cafe tucked in a residential street. Not much to do today, so might as well try their local beer. Sat across her table. I will not let this chance pass by. I'm gonna talk to her, probably just say hi.

Went to her house, brought chocolate cake I baked. A little burnt at the bottom, but moist, chocolate, but not too sweet. Just the perfect balance of bitter and sweet. She loved it.

He gave me a cute, little red notebook, so I can write my stories on the go. How thoughtful. I might just write things about him and his crazy, cheesy lines.

Timing is a bitch. He just broke up with his long-time girlfriend a few weeks ago, she was single.

From her journal, he wrote: They said, when you meet somebody, there are three areas where they can be part of your life. They either break you, make you, or the most interesting part...they become a mole.

A Mole..a mole...like a mole.

You have them. You know they're there. But you won't know if either it's good or bad. But you know that it's there. You don't know if it's special, or if it's bad for you. You don't even know why it's there.

The mole is your deal breaker, either you keep it, or you remove it. or you live with it, because you know it's special.

He: I am very glad I met you. You are like a dream that I can hold.

He: If I could just stop the time, I would, and still be with you longer. See your party smile and hear your stories.

She: You make my heart flutter, like it's skipping a beat to look at you in awe.

Is this love?

She: He was my world, he made me believe I am his too. I was just a rebound, a distraction, a detour.

He: I thought I love her. Love at first sight even, I almost spilled my coffee when I saw her that fateful afternoon. I led her on. I was so drawn to her, but the timing isn't perfect. My ex is pregnant, I am the father.

We met at crossroads. She was free, I was not. I moved forward, let go of her hand,  barely said goodbye.

I was left on my knees, crying like no cloud can hold all my tears. He never looked back.

She: I never asked how such thing could happen to me. It was a mistake. Probably a byway, or maybe I am designed to be alone.

A mole...do you regret having one? No, because a mole just shows up naturally. It doesn't come with a tag why it's there, why it happened.

End.

If leaving you at the dead of the night peppering me with questions about our entire solar system/galaxy, comes back smiling at the end of conversation and call it casual? Then I'm guilty as charged. But your dang head also messed it up too, so dont forget 'bout that. At least take some responsbility for your actions and focus on your wellbeing. Thanks for the uppercut🙂

Alamat ng Lipistik

Friday again! Happy weekend world! Again, I ask myself, how can I fucking write something happy and witty, if all I can do is sulk over the idea or feeling of being unwanted. I can’t even say that I like myself. Feeling ko nagkakaron na naman ako ng episode of the inevitable. Pero I can get over this, I know. Una sa lahat, patawad sa mga nagbabasa ng blogs ko, ang boring kong tao. Dead kid. Wala ng nagaganap na interesting sakin, maliban sa madami akong natututunan sa work ko. Yeth, I’ll tell you about my job. Nasa harap lang sya ng magandang building ng San Miguel. Nung 2015, wala pa tong building. Nag work kasi ako dati sa tabi netong building. Big hole lang to non. Dead end. Tanginang train of thought, napuputol, humihinto. Im cursed!!! Ohmaygaaaad!
