EVERYONE HAS A LITTLE DIRTY LAUNDRY

In the midst of reading my newly bought book; Political Scandal and enjoying my white Chocolate oreo coffee, I suddenly thought of things about our past and present politicians. I thought of the Marcos era and now the Aquino regime. I thought of all the cries of the oppressed, people who fought for their rights, and youth nowadays who are very enthusiastic of being heard by the government.

WARNING: I speak for myself with all I’m going to say here. First and foremost, I am generalizing my whole point and I’m not pertaining to any person in particular. All I wanted here is to share my thoughts nothing else.

Personally, I admire all the people who can stand and fight for their rights which are all stated in the constitution. I admire the youth’s enthusiasm seen in the last elections to be heard and participate in the decision making of who’s going to lead our country next. For me, these are all heroic actions that I think needed to be honored. But my question to myself is; Are all this patriotism worth it? Can these actions save them from poverty? Does being connected to the media and informing the public the truths about prominent figures save them from being murdered? Can all those shouting and yelling outside the Malacanang save them from hunger? Yes, these are people’s right to express how they feel since we are in democratic country anyway. But, is it the answer to their problem?

These questions played and didn’t stop flashing inside my mind until I get what I think is sensible reason to my query. I don’t mean any harm to any one and I’m just comparing things to which I think very close to as analogy. The people I admire, who are very courageous and enthusiastic to fight and stand for their reasons are just like dogs that are loyal to their masters. Dogs will fight for their masters and they love their caretakers dearly but there are times that when they feel harmed they begin to rebel.

Being more superior to the common people, politicians have activities that are unknown to us. They have the capacity to do all things they want and even the people wanted and have the right to know these ‘activities’ we call are hidden behind those sparkling smiles and unfathomable plasticity. Politics has this very unique marketing and flaunting of selves to the public. Let’s take a very interesting example, we all know that former president Ferdinand Marcos has a very good performance on his early administration and has a very pretty young wife. We all know that already, but behind that resilient personality lies dirty laundry. Marcos has Carmen Ortega as his first mistress before he married Imelda. And at the course of their marriage, Marcos had numerous affairs that one of them had flaunt the news in America. Marcos even seduced the wife of Eduardo Cojuangco. I find it amusing to learn these things this late. It happened long ago but I was intrigued that today, President Noynoy’s love life is the hottest topic of the season. After his break up with long time girlfriend he is now rumored to be dating and getting married to his personal stylist. I asked myself, does history wanted to repeat itself? I hope not.

Certain flaws are inevitable, besides these people are also human beings just like us. The difference is they have the responsibility common people don’t have, set a good example and lead the country to progress. Greed, love for money and power breeds dishonesty, mistrust, disobedience, it carries a spell that can make this country stay as a third world country. If there are always deceiving people who wants to seat in office, there wouldn’t come a time that this country will progress and rise to its feet.

Now, we go back to my first question, is it all worth it? Part of me says yes, but I believe that it may be worth the lives of those who fought for their rights but in this country we live in, only the rich can be richer and always the oppressed are being experimented. Since Aquino administration has just started, I would like to see change without people getting tired of shouting outside the Palace and hungered because no jobs are available.  I still think efforts are wasted, youth can be heard but the masters are just hearing not listening to the people’s essence. And as long as God is not the center of us all, the impossible dreams we have for change will remain impossible to reach.

Alamat ng Lipistik

Friday again! Happy weekend world! Again, I ask myself, how can I fucking write something happy and witty, if all I can do is sulk over the idea or feeling of being unwanted. I can’t even say that I like myself. Feeling ko nagkakaron na naman ako ng episode of the inevitable. Pero I can get over this, I know. Una sa lahat, patawad sa mga nagbabasa ng blogs ko, ang boring kong tao. Dead kid. Wala ng nagaganap na interesting sakin, maliban sa madami akong natututunan sa work ko. Yeth, I’ll tell you about my job. Nasa harap lang sya ng magandang building ng San Miguel. Nung 2015, wala pa tong building. Nag work kasi ako dati sa tabi netong building. Big hole lang to non. Dead end. Tanginang train of thought, napuputol, humihinto. Im cursed!!! Ohmaygaaaad!
